The film takes place in Krakow, Poland, during World War II. Oskar Schindler (played by Liam Neeson), a member of the Nazi Party, arrives in Krakow with the intention of making a fortune from the war effort. He employs Jewish workers in his factory, and as the war intensifies, he begins to realize the horrors of the Holocaust.
