A bizarre issue affected Epson Scan 2 versions 6.4.5 through 6.4.6 where the utility would suddenly ask for a license key (which doesn’t exist) after 30 days. This was a coding error from Epson's digital signing module.

The most common complaint with v6.4.8.7 is that the scanner cannot be found, even though it is turned on.
