It allows for "Partition DL," enabling users to flash firmware from different regions (e.g., flashing a European open-market KDZ onto a US carrier-locked device) without being blocked by model mismatch errors.

Allows the tool to recognize devices that the official version might reject as "Unknown." Cross-flashing:

Unlocks developer/internal functions like backup/restore of NVRAM (EFS), engineering settings, and raw partition read/write.
