In the petroleum industry, CM352 is injected into production strings to combat sweet corrosion (CO2) and sour corrosion (H2S). Its high thermal stability (up to 180°C / 356°F) ensures it does not decompose in deep wells. Unlike quaternary amine inhibitors, CM352 has a low tendency to emulsify produced water, making oil/water separation easier.
