But why 300MB? It is the mathematical equilibrium. A standard Blu-ray rip can be 50GB. A decent 1080p web-dl is 2–3GB. A 300MB file compresses that down by roughly 90%. For the average user with unlimited fiber optic internet and a 65-inch 4K TV, that sounds absurd. For the user on a metered mobile connection, a laptop with limited storage, or a smartphone with a 720p screen? It sounds like perfection.
