The software is slow when running from a USB 2.0 drive. Solution: USB 2.0 has slow random read speeds. Either upgrade to a USB 3.0/3.1 drive (blue connector) or temporarily copy the QElectroTechPortable folder to the local desktop, run it there (it remains portable because no registry writes), and copy it back when done. The software loads the entire element library into RAM. On a slow USB 2.0 drive (read speeds < 30 MB/s), the initial startup might take 20–30 seconds. Solution: Use a USB 3.0 or USB-C drive. QElectroTech Portable
