Seven years later, the film shifts tone drastically. Zooni is now living in the mountains with her father and her son, also named Rehan. An injured man seeking shelter turns out to be the original Rehan, who is actually a separatist terrorist operative. Zooni, not recognizing him (having never seen him with her own eyes before the "death"), nurses him back to health.
